4 simple ways to give gifts that matter

Do your gifts matter or are they misfits?

gifts that matterOkay, fess up, how many gifts have you received over the years that went unopened, unworn, unused, regifted or eventually delegated to the donation pile?  Now, don't get me wrong, I TOTALLY appreciate anytime someone takes the time to think about me and get a gift for me.  But I don't want to be the giver that gives the gifts that are ready for the Island of Misfit Gifts, and I'm guessing you probably feel the same. Don't you want people to look like my grands over there on the left when they get gifts from you? How many people have gone to the mall, fought the crowds, dropped $100 or more on a gift that no one cared about?  I'm done buying just to buy.  Time to help change lives people!  The impact oils have had on me and my RA have been profound.  I want to share that with as many people as possible How about we rethink our gift giving and give something that matters, a gift that can change lives.  Here are FIVE ideas that will help you take care of just about anyone on your gift list.

First up: doTERRA's Aromatouch Diffused Starter Kit - $150.

This is the PERFECT set to give.  It comes with 8 different oils (Lavender, Balance blend, On Guard blend, Melaleuca, Deep Blue blend, Aromatouch blend, Peppermint, and Wild Orange), a diffuser, and a bottle of fractionated coconut oil for diluting.  Throw in a few empty rollers and the welcome info you'll get from me, and you'll give someone a gift with literally hundreds of practical uses.  If you decide to gift them a membership (included in the kit price), they'll get 12 months of 25% discount, support from me and the rest of our oil family.  If you're ready to go, head over HERE to shop

Second: Pair an oil with another gift or two.

An athlete would love a tube of Deep Blue along with some workout gear.  A cool Glastic water bottle with some citrus oils (Lime is my favorite) is a great gift for just about anyone.  doTERRA's new Spa items are amazing gifts too. Mix and match 2 or 3 together with a luxuriously soft towel set or robe.  If you'd like a personal brainstorming sesh with me, I will help you make your shopping list.

A bottle of Balance, Peace, or Passion  with a piece of diffuser jewelry(add lava stones to a necklace or bracelet and viola! diffuser jewelry! Message me if you'd like to learn more)

A homemade neck wrap with Balance, Peppermint, or Serenity Pair a homemade scarf with a bag of On Guard throat drops

Fourth: Make some amazing gifts using oils.

This is the perfect option for teacher gifts, office exchanges, Secret Santas, and stocking stuffers because you can make something amazing for a low price. Sugar scrubs, lotion bars, salves, bath salts, room sprays - the possibilities are practically endless! I'll be posting several DIY options over the next couple of days, but here's one to get you started.  If you are making lots of gifts, peppermint is an oil we use in a lot of projects, so you'll definitely want to have that one on hand.

Peppermint Foot Scrub:

It's super easy (as you can see in our Make It Monday video)
1/2 cup fine sea salt
1/4 cup coarse sea salt
1/4 cup coconut oil
2-3 T avocado oil
1 tsp Vitamin E oil (optional)
10 drops doTERRA Peppermint essential oil

Combine all ingredients and place in 8oz jar.  We decorated our jar with washi tape and a cute label.  If you know someone who is on their feet  a lot, or who struggles with foot pain, this is the perfect match-up.  Using peppermint oil for a foot massage on its own is invigorating. It is stimulating and supportive to the circulatory system so it's a great choice for tired piggies. We bought some plastic jars in bulk for all the make & takes we do around here, but you could also get pretty glass jars from the craft store or even a canning jar would work.  We purchased some wide mouth 8oz jars that are very pretty.
