DIY Deep Hair Conditioner

I have girls with some serious hair.

The two lovelies on the left did not get their curls from me.  Their hair is THICK, and often in need of some TLC.  Emily (the one on the far right) and I share similar hair qualities.  While we don't have the curl, our hair is still in need of deep conditioning from time to time.  My hair is an odd combo of straight and inconveniently wavy so I tend to use a straightener on it to get rid of the weirdness.  When I saw this DIY from doTERRA, I totally down with it.  I need to take before and after pics next time, especially for the curly haired two. DIY Deep Hair Conditioner

Easy ingredients, super pampering

You probably have everything for this in your kitchen already (and if you don't have oils, I can help you with that for sure).

All you need is a mixer and 3 tablespoons coconut oil, 1 tablespoon olive oil, and 8 drops doTERRA essential oils.

DIY Hair conditionerWe chose Peppermint & Rosemary, but Lavender, Geranium, or Clary Sage would also be good choices. I love that this is all natural and offers oh-so-many health benefits.  IF you read the label of what you can buy at the store, you're likely to find lots of ingredients you can't pronounce that could be causing or aggravating health issues.

It's fun to use essential oils because you can customize your DIYs based on your needs and nose.  We chose Peppermint because it generally makes the scalp less dry (without creating additional oil) and eventually help eliminate dandruff which usually results from dry scalp. The menthol in peppermint makes it cooling AND invigorating, so it feels fab in this conditioner.  I love the tingly feeling you get from peppermint.  It's like you can FEEL it working on your scalp.

We chose Rosemary which also supports a healthy scalp.  It increases circulation in the scalp, which promotes healing and reduces hair loss after shampooing.  Regular use of rosemary oil helps to stimulate follicles, making hair grow longer and stronger. And last, but not least, the combination of the two oils smells amazing together.
